Shia LaBeouf turned down the option to reclaim his role in the next Transformers movie. Who did Michael Bay get to replace him? In my opinion, he picked one of the worst actors I have ever seen.

Michael Bay has never let me down for being the most silliest director in the industry!. I'm still sadden by the fact that he still has the rights to make Transformers movies.

Mark Wahlberg? They could have done so much worse for a lead. Won't see the movie anyways, think it's one of the worst big movie franchises and will never understand what people like about these movies.

I like Mark Wahlberg, but choosing him doesn't make sense to me. I thought the whole point of any Transformers storyline was to pair the alien/robot race with a lead cast of youth characters so that the Toy line maintains a connection to their "kid" core audience. That was the formula they have always done since Transformers storylines began, right?
As for no Shia, I was not surprised at all. After that interview I watched that clearly showed Shia as resistant to his former reputation and wants to "break out" to another level in his career, I figured that meant he would not want to do another Transformers.

Maybe it's just me, but Mark Wahlberg's default expression in movies is one that looks like he wants to destroy your family.
And Transformers is like...a pseudo-family-oriented movie. Kids are gonna cry when they look at Marky Mark.
Yeah, that one. He all but put a "Hi, my name is Tool" sticker on his shirt.
