The Last of Us - VGA 2012 trailer (May 7, 2013 release)

Naughty Dog will premiere a new trailer for The Last of Us at the Spike TV Video Game Awards on December 7, planner Geoff Keighley has confirmed on Twitter.

If you’ve picked up the latest Game Informer, you’ll also find a preview of the game introducing a new character.

The Last of Us will launch for PlayStation 3 in 2013.

IIRC, I think they said the infected are not going to be THAT big a part of the game, which would explain why it's kind of an afterthought in the footage already released. Maybe they're just still tweaking a few things with them and not ready to show them off.

Maybe they're withholding footage of the infected so that they'll be a greater surprise when the game's finally released? Or maybe because one of the infected will...

look strangely like Sully, or Elena, and you'll have to kill them, because we all know this game is going to have a connection to Uncharted in some vague way no one wants to admit.

Surely one of the most anticipated PS3 exclusive games slated for 2013 (that and "Beyond: Two Souls"), but I agree that media material (clips, screen shots etc) has been in really short supply. Naughty Dog have been keeping their cards concealed on this one.

Really looking forward to the new trailer and the game itself (hope it's 'early 2013).

TBH I forgot there even was infected in this game and I really don't think they will be the main focus at all, humans will be the bigger threat and also survival.

So new trailer at the VGAs? One year on from the announcement, fully expect the release date.
