That thread was just picking on devious being made an SMC Just which was unfair.

I'll even create the thread myself!

It wasn't just about that. When that occurred it became the launching point for far more than that. That action though didn't help my overall feelings on things, how things have changed, the general direction things are going, and the overall general feel of this place.

Explain how there are better ways? In PM's away from all eyes? I brought up my point, and many others in a mature manner within that thread. Just when things get real it is closed off and discarded...

post the PMS if you want I dont care but I want to use PMs so there is no distractions. You seem to have some issues with things around here and thats fine and I will listen to everything you have to say.

The name has been changed to 'Selected Members Council', due to feedback that the name included improper grammar.

Just to chime in, as an English native speaker and teacher, I can say that 'select members' is grammatically sound. Maybe some were confused by the fact it is both an adjective and a verb.

The members were selected (verb), so they were select (adjective) members.

From what I understand, it is grammatically correct, but not necessarily proper.

Sorry, I was reading through and forgot it was closed. I'm not used to seeing a dialog box on closed threads haha. Well, not that it is very important at the end of the day, but 'select' gets Ghost's Grammatical Seal of Approval...so does 'selected'.

I PM'd Ixion concerning my post. I stated that I could be wrong, it's just that from what I know you generally use 'select' like that for items, not people. I wasn't concerned with seeing it changed anyways.

The ironic thing now, however, is that because of the community nomination phase now introduced, the definition for 'select' may be applied less strongly here. =P
