You could run this at HD as long as you dont want to hit 60fps.

RAGE says hello.
60fps LOCKED no dropped frames at all and for the most part its 720p and looks better than any cod out there.

Its also very static, and a completely different way to render, which took him years to sort out. With arguably mixed results.

Dynamic lighting is a no no in Rage.

Not global lighting just dynamic lighting. That just means there is lighting that isnt prebaked. Thing like explosions etc affect surroinding areas.

I can't argue with that and while the graphics are ok you can tell they're upscaled, thats my only problem

There aren't upscaled, they are slightly stretched sideways. Horizontal res is full 720p res.

Yeah I know BLOPS2 is higher then previous games
But you could tell in the older games, I did actually see Blops2 recently and it did look sharper but still had a washed out look compared to most native games

But down to the crucial question: Xbox 360 or PS3? For the campaign playthrough there's a clear winner in Microsoft's platform, by virtue of its higher-resolution textures, superior shadow filtering, and its crisply scaled native resolution - sub-HD as it is - that looks closest of the two to the PC version's full 720p output. Sadly, the PS3 version's image quality suffers more than it should owing to its anti-aliasing technique, which blurs over an image operating with what appears to be a dynamic framebuffer. It's an unsightly combination that doesn't really pass muster, though running without the latest patch shows this can be undone for single-player modes.

Thats because a previous patch made it even worse.
Its back to were it was on the unpatched verison.

Watching the digital foundry multiplayer performance video, its pretty awesome to see such a stable 60fps (and with the trade-offs they have made, it better be stable)

It's perfect now. Looks great! Only played MP so far but can't see any of that blur

Call of Duty is back with Activision Blizzard and developer Treyarch exploding at the top of our All Formats Chart with ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops II’.

With a Tuesday launch it becomes the biggest launch of 2012 and the 4th biggest of all time. It’s Xbox 360 taking the lion’s share with 60% of sales going to Microsoft’s console as opposed to 38% on Playstation 3.
