Scribblenauts Unlimited loosely has them in the form of "Global Starite Shards" which is like a giant checklist of global things to spawn and do in the game that aren't area specific.
Jackson on NeoGAF is Jeremiah Slaczka, the Creative Director and Co-Founder of 5TH Cell. He came up with the concept of Scribblenauts and a few other of 5th Cell's games.

Big mistake on Nintendo's part. There are so many gamers addicted to trophies and such. Trophies/achievements help to boost sales.

Weird. It's not a big deal to a lot of people (I love them though) but you'd think they would have something similar.
I'd imagine most the games coming over from PS360 will have them though

I couldn't care less about achievements/trophies when they were first implemented and i don't care about them now. The add nothing to a game for me because i tend to only play a game once maybe twice (Mass Effect is the only franchise this generation i completed more than 3 times overall, each game) as i buy games faster than I can play them.
Sucks for those that like those kind of things though. Whatever happened to just playing a game because you wanted to play it thoughI Like Games.

Yeah they'll probably do an achievement individually for each game but it wont go to a single collective. Who knows though, they may very well decide down the line to add one in.

Like some of you I don't really care for trophies; but some people go nuts for trophies and should be fairly simple to add that they should just go for it... and it's already a proven success so it's not as if Nintendo would be risking anything; in fact I think they risk more by not including it... unless they come up with their own thing that is sort of equivalent.

no trophies were such a big deal when PS3 came out that sony ended up making them a requirement... why didnt nintendo learn from that?

Shame really. I've picked games up or downloaded games on PS+ just for the trophies sometimes, im quite addicted to them and it gives me a chance to play a game I normally wouldn't buy and still get something from it.

It's a big deal for me. I have over 50 plats, and I used to be really into trophy hunting.
I slowed down a year or two ago, but I really like hunting trophies and high scores. I'm a completion gamer by nature so I'd be doing this stuff anyway.
Achievements and Trophies are like new-gen high scores on arcade machines. Great for keeping track of progress, reminders of games you played, and bragging rights.
Bottom line (for me): This is a fail on Nintendo's part. Their system(s) sucks for anything but games.
