It's an awesome update, a lot of really cool functionality being added. The e-mail accounts are great, as is the wireless content manager. Can't wait to see what future functionality is added via FW.

That is all nice, however, I would like to be able to play Spyro 1 and Crash Bandicoot 1 on my Vita, as well as download the DLC for Killzone Liberation
Also, it would be nice if I could backup my game saves to my PC or PS3.

It would be nice to backup just the saves, yes. Atm you have to backup the entire game bubble. So game data+saves will be backed up to PC or PS3

No, one subscription covers both PS3 and VITA.
