3DS outsells Vita 47-1 in Japan - Sony, take action now

I know its not doing great in Japan, but how is it doing in other markets is it the same all over, i love my Vita and its a shame its selling the way it is at the mo.

The thing which slightly worries me is if they can't get Vita right I have a few doubts over PS4. You might think this is a little crazy but hear me out.

Trends in gaming have changed, people who don't usually play games now play them. First we had the Wii, then we had the iOS games which have really took off. Gaming on the move, pick up and play and social gaming (although I think will die soon actually) is popular at the moment. Here are the last 4 games I have bought in the order I bought them;

Professor Layton and The Miracle Mask - 3DS
10000000 - iOS
Halo 4 - Xbox 360
Angry Birds Star Wars - iOS

Now I have every current gen console including a Vita. 3 out of 4 of my last purchases are games I can play on the move! I don't think I'm the only one who's habits have changed over the course of the last generation, when I got my Xbox (launch) and PS3 (6 months post launch) there was no App Store, a place where you can buy games for less than £1 and a lot of great games too! So my habits have changed, who is to say they won't change again in the future.

So at the moment, Vita has the potential to fulfil my habits, but it's kind of not doing. Because of the lack of new software which is appealing. I think the next game I'll get is Persona 4, but that's quite a while away for Europe.

Vita has the potential to fulfil my current habits more than say a PS4 which could roll around late next year. Which leads on to will I buy a PS4 because I will have a nagging doubt in my mind - will it get the same support as Vita?!

the vita is an awesome hand held but its over priced sony needs to start to market it get games and price drop

Vita is still routinely outsold 20-1 by 3DS in a normal week in Japan. The problem for Japan is many of the developers there are still more than happy to develop for PSP. Sony have gave them no reason to develop for Vita.

PSP in Japan:

+ Big install base
+ Cheap as chips to buy
+ Cheap to develop for
+ A strong software library

3rd party Japanese developers see zero reason at the moment to develop for Vita - that's what needs to change pronto!
