Graphics for the User Review Section! :D

Hello, very soon I will be opening the review project and would love for you guys to come up with some nice graphics for the stickied contents page. I would like the following banners please, and all I ask is that you incorporate as many badass IP stars as possible:

PlayStation Universe Community Reviews (only 3rd party characters here (Connor, Batman, Sam Fisher, Raiden/Snake etc...will be the first image you see when you click on the thread)

The following smaller banners, each with 1st party super icons (Drake, Cole, Hale, Kratos etc etc)

Sony
Microsoft
Nintendo
P.C

I don't know about the sizes, I'll leave that to your discretion and experimentation. The four smaller banners are just a prettier way of dividing the reviews up.

It would be nice if the style of the banners stayed consistent somehow, be it background, border, color etc...so that everything matches.

I would greatly appreciate your submissions! We will then hold a vote for the community to choose what will be used for the review section.

Good to see the user review section getting the go ahead. I'm sure PSU's talented design team will deliver. Will be looking forward to member reviews since this place has been my go-to for game info, trust the community input!

I could do this, but I dunno how and where they'd be placed so it would be fantastic if I'd get the dimensions. Also I'd like to know if any text is needed.

Well, how about for the Sony, MS, PC and Nintendo banners, use the same size as my sig. For the main banner/picture...what is the maximum image size allowed before it gets resized and given the "click this bar" tab? (maybe around 500x350ish?).

However, I am also open to suggestions as to what you guys think would look good and what you'd like to work with...Would it look better if it spanned the width of the post area? Or make it shorter with an interesting right side border/effect...There are many possibilities.

For some reason my GIMP doesn't want to start up properly, this is why I'm taking so long lol. Hopefully I'll get it fixed.

Whady'a think of something like this? If the main banner fits your liking then I'll do the other ones in the theme of that, but if ya don't then tell me what to improve.

Fuck me that's sexy! I like it, and I like the selection of characters, especially the inclusion of HL. I'm not going to be all dictatorish about this so we'll let the other bitches chime in on it.

I can't wait to see the other banners done in this style though.

What would that pic look like without the tint, with vibrant colors?

Also, for the banners (Sony, MS etc) I'm thinking of having them aligned normally (left)...what kind of interesting effect could you conjure up on the right side of the sig to give so that it blends with the page more? I dunno...This is going to be a single post stickied/closed thread that acts solely as an index for the reviews so I want us to nail the presentation and get it looking awesome and professional. Any input or ideas would be welcome.

I reduced the colours to blend in the renders, as they all are different and have different colour schemes.

Well I was thinking of just 3rd party for the intro image...Then 4 banner like pics for Sony,MS, Ninty & PC. I just thought the main image should be 3rdparty to keep it totally neutral, as this is a section for all games. IF we put PS characters in, I'd like MS and Ninty characters too, Either everyone gets in or no one does (from the big three)

Yeah I'll wait for the polls to close aswell and then I'll work with those if my set is chosen. Of course, even if my set is chosen I don't think there would be a problem if Blacksite did the banners for the platforms.

I like what spyrde has done, but I really hate the color tint they all have. Looks like an old ass picture from the 60's developed on some real shitty film lol. Have the images be bright and colorful.

I explained the reasoning behind it already, it's just for the sake of the flow. Since the colours and styles of the renders vary so much I kinda had to sacrifice the colours to get some flow in there.
