that's really lame. I remember specifically when EA made Battlefield 1943 a pre-order bonus when you pre-order/buy Battlefield 3. that night they pulled the pre-order bonus and when people had BF3 in their hands there was no BF1943, they announced it like the same day the game came out. o.O point being, what they did was no different. If I could say anything to Activision and Treyarch it would be this, "don't follow in the footsteps of EA/DICE, no good can come from it."
anyway, Treyarch on the other hand really cheesed the launch of Black Ops 2. The fact they made nuketown not mix in with Vanilla Black Ops 2 maps is quite mind boggling. but considering the stupidity of Treyarch and where their heads were while thinking of what to do with nuketown 2025, this doesn't surprise me on bit.![]()

Yeah, it's been quite the roller coaster ride. Nuketown 2025 has been returned to Black Ops II in a 'Bonus' playlist called "Chaos Moshpit", featuring NT along with some of the other smaller maps in a variety of modes. The permanence of Nuketown has not been promised thus far, but I assume Treyarch won't attempt to remove it again after the uproar it caused.
Once more on the note of the game's glitchiness, I'm thankful that it isn't unplayable. A majority of the time, the game works without problems and is plenty of fun to play. It's only in rare occasions (for now) that I have any issues.SchaffinOSX

And yet, Battlefield beats the gameplay of CoD by a MILE.
Plus, you should know that it is probably neither Treyarch nor DICE who are responsible for such corporate bullshit but the executives of both Activision and EA. Treyarch and DICE are developing the games, their parent companies are the ones pulling the strings in the background with regards to DLC policies, server pulling, map removals, etc.
That is why my appreciation generally goes out to the developers and not the publishers. Because those guys are much more likely to be gamers at heart.Last edited by Wrath; 11-21-2012 at 06:39.

and yet your still able to disregard EA's ability to do wrong, shocking. This topic isn't a discussion on gameplay and you know this. so with that being said, EA/DICE still pulled their pre-order and their situation was no different to treyarch. stop trying to sugar coat something when it doesn't need to be.
it's funny that once you stated something and I pointed out they did the same thing you try to derail the topic into a bullshit...

You haven't understood one thing.
1. I didn't sugarcoat anything.
2. I said that it is BOTH EA and Activision executives that come up with that bullshit we're talking about here. Where exactly did I disregard EA's ability to do wrong again?
3. I was pointing out the difference between developers and publishers since so many (you included) don't quite seem to get the difference.
Get your facts straight, please.Last edited by Wrath; 11-23-2012 at 13:25.
