I loved Wacky Races. Me and brother used to have bets with sweets on who would win which would make it so much more exciting.

The reason you gave affects all forms of entertainment, but everything else puts out what they want, so why is it suddenly so hard for a cartoon to do the same as the rest of the industry?

Dragonball Z by far. Been watching it since I can remember.

I've seen every episode (that I know of) and every movie.

    Same goes for DBGT.

Haven't seen all the original Dragonball episodes however.

Good to see some of the old classics getting mentioned in this thread, I grew up with a lot of them as well as two of my favourites - Real Ghostbusters and Teenage Mutant Ninja(Hero) Turtles. Nowadays I'd have to say Futurama is by far and away my favourite cartoon. I've seen every episode multiple times over, read and own quite a lot of the comics and even collect some of the merchandise. Honourary mention to the Last airbender/Legend of Korra series, which in my opinion are really excellent.

Bob's Burgers and Futurama, for stuff anyone here would watch. Family Guy is annoying, American Dad is annoying, Simpsons is mostly dead, and South Park... That's one I just watch when I hear about a particularly funny episode, but I don't follow it. Cleveland show is sort of like Family Guy, but more tolerable. I watched the first season in a marathon, and I've seen a few episodes since then.

I loved Venture Brothers, but I haven't followed it in a long time, and most of the crap on AS is just annoying. I lost my taste for Aqua Teen Hunger Force when the movie came out, Harvey Birdman was great but it's over. Squidbillies? Metalocalypse? Gross. Terrible, terrible shows. Well, at least Metalocalypse seems to have some effort put into it, but it's just too gory for me. Morel Orel was terrible, Boondocks... Well, I'm rather indifferent to that one. Suffice it to say, I'm not really into AS.

I'm not sure if this counts, but I was really into Homestarrunner before the game came out. The game was great, don't get me wrong, but they put out ONE more Sbemail, and two holiday specials and... NOTHING. They showed a script for the new sbemail, but nothing ever came of it.

As for nostalgic cartoons, if you don't count films, the only one I really like is Teddy Ruxpin. There is something to be said for continuity. I don't like treating previous episodes like they didn't happen, which is what the Disney Cartoons usually did (not counting pilot episodes). Granted, Teddy Ruxpin sort of fell apart as it went on, but it was great early on. I wasn't able to stomach much of Duck Tales (I think the fact I see him for the greedy prick he is ruins it for me) or Goof Troop as an adult (but I still love Goofy Movie, which is a follow-up to Goof Troop) I haven't seen Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers since I was a teen, or Darkwing Duck or Gargoyles or Tale Spin, so I'm not sure how I'd feel about those now. There are some Tale Spin episodes I remember pretty clearly, and quite fondly, so I feel I may respond better to that one.

As for the cartoon that I'm spending the most time on, it's MLP. I'm really into Doctor Who right now, and I found these fanvids called "Doctor Whooves and Assistant" which I liked, so it made me curious about the actual MLP show, which I'd been avoiding for obvious reasons. After several false starts, I finally started watching it. I would skip past the opening so no one walking past my window would know what I was talking about, and I was careful not to mention it or sing the songs so no one would pick up on it. Let's say it's a guilty pleasure. I get a bit... disturbed by certain branches of the fandom, though. I despise the self-fulfilling prophecy that is R34... I hated it as an anime fan, I hate it with this, because people think every fan is into that crap.

I dont particulary have a favourite instead ones I do like.

Most early Warner Bros cartoons. Dafy duck, Bugs bunny, etc.

    Pinky and the Brain

    Batman

    Wallace & Gromit

I think out of all cartoons ever created Pinky and the brain hs had the best production ever.

Growing up i remember smurfs, and the WB bugs and Daffy,or HB and the jetsons...Gijoe was my favorite, i think that was like the voltron era. Around the same time I first watched Heavy Metal, & Ralph Bakshi's rotoscoped Lord of The Rings, his Wizards is a classic as well. But definitely going on thru the years there were gummy bears, Ducktales, Reboot or was it Rebooted.. Animaniacs, Avatar TLAB is indeed a great series,,as is Adventure Time. Seeing my son watching Mad Magazine brings me back to the mags i read growing up. I always enjoyed the Garfield and Peanuts specials.
So I guess my long winded answer is that anything by studio ghibli or ralph bakshi is going to be a treat, and my favorite cartoon series atm would be Adventure Time.
