Elite and theater not recording full matches( angry face)

I was playing blops 2 today and i happened to notice that elite is not showing all my kills or deaths in a match.
I went to theater mode to see if maybe there was a glitch but watching a clip of one of my matches it only showed about
3 min of a 8 min match. I was wondering if that is something not to worry about or does it effect my xp and leveling
In the game. Wondering if anybody else is having the same issue.
