I have been playing games since I was 11 and now, iam 26. After playing through different consoles, games, watching game-play, reading about games, and graphics. I would say The Last Of Us has the best graphics in gaming world since HD was braught. I have never seen an environment well detailed and it looks so impressive like The Last Of Us. Who would agree with me? Maybe Iam missing few points but I kept and kept watching the game-play of that game, and its just unbelievable. I wonder, what kind of engine Naughty Dog is using?

on a technical scale im sure many people would disagree.
that being said, no other game developer has used its tech to create a game of equal atmosphere. that much is certain.

On consoles, yes. Overall, no.
What I'm more excited about are the leaps and bounds they seem to be making with AI.

There are many aspects of graphics and it is true that overall Naughty Dog does not excel, but in certain areas I believe them to be the best at the moment. One example being their textures they use on both characters and environments.
Trophy-licious!

The thing is, for me in particular. Ultra ultra realism is boring. Boring. The more stylised and visually interesting/different graphics are the better they look.
Oh wow you made graphics look like real life... thats cool but thats what real life looks like I see it every day...
That tech of course has its place but I don't wanna see it for every game.

As awesome as TLOU looks, I don't think it's graphically the most amazing thing since the advent of HD, perhaps on consoles. As Mr Shibby said it's in areas like AI that Naughty Dog are pioneering again...I think as a whole though, from what we have seen so far, it is looking like a game that will excel in all areas, but I'm not sure if it will be the apex.
They have a few months still though, and anyone who has had experience with ND betas will know that a whole new level of graphical polish and sheen is added to the final product and I have no doubt what so ever that TLOU will deliver.PSU GHOST SYNDICATE - DUST 514 Media HUB - Podcast - BLOG (Soon™)

The Last of Us is set in a post-apocalyptic environment so the realistic visuals make sense. It's a nice contrast to the Uncharted games where the strong colors added to the adventurous atmosphere. Most importantly, the visuals in The Last of Us are clean. There's no tacked-on dirty/wet camera lens effect, like a certain overhyped 'next-gen' engine.

It's hard to disagree...but I think there's a few games that I'd say are right at TLoU's level. Like...Uncharted 3 and maybe Beyond (haven't seen enough of the game).
And what about Crysis 2? Isn't Crytek supposed to be the holy grail of graffix or something?Last edited by Bio; 12-07-2012 at 02:21.

No matter what race you are or what you look like or your sexuality or where you come from, We are all the same people and we are all bothers & sisters so love each other & don't let anyone tell you any different.
Remember you can't choose what you are from birth but you can choose what you want to become.
Just because you haven't seen them doesn't mean they are not there we all got to have something to believe in.

In its genre perhaps but not better than all games. For example I think Killzone 3 is still the best looking shooter when you consider everything thats going on onscreen at once while retaining high graphical fidelity and I love its gritty look (referring to SP campaign ). And Uncharted 3 is best looking adventure action game out there still. TLOU has great atmosphere and like Blacksite said it looks very clean and crisp. Also its still a ways off from release so it will look even better when its done. But thats why to just say best looking game ever is a sweeping statement especially with all the other great looking PS3 exclusives out there. The AI, interaction and atmosphere of TLOU are on a whole new level though.
