    best news of the year the trailer was really cool too getting black maiden vibes by the female character in the trailer ^_^
    Also those enemies with the mask are so cool, at first I thought it was one of the boss battles and then theres loads of them :O

    I think it only means that you won't be left so much in the dark regarding the "what the hell do i need to do now?" moments, I know I had a ton of them in Dark Souls.

    Yeah but that part of the fun. The game not holding your hand pointing the finger where to go next. It was what made it special. I hope ds2 is not linear. Id welcome a world thing like demons souls.

    Of course, but some slight hints wouldn't go amiss. For example, it took me forever to figure out to go to the Lower Undead Burg. Had the key, but I completely forgot about that one door you pass before the dragon and eventually stumbled into it by accident.

    Its a sequel so it definately wont shift to a linear or demon souls style of level select imo.

    The quote regarding making things straightforward; there were similar quotes to dark souls too.

    He could be referring to game mechanics which are often left in the dark like covenants etc. Both souls games have had some mechanics that weren't explained and caused alot of confusion even on forums and wiki's so addressing some of those would be nice. This wouldnt change the game's difficulty at all which comes from the world and enemies so I wouldn't mind that.

    I hope they still have the secret passages/ fake walls. Always loved finding a new location by mistake ( usually from attacking a chest to test if its a mimic).

    I also hope for optional areas, bosses, paths, etc. That's part of what made Dark Souls so much fun, you could get to some zones in completely different ways, offering totally different challenges.

    I liked the style of DkS more. Wasn't much of a fan of the Nexus.

    I'm pretty excited to see how the multiplayer will turn out.
