I’m incredibly excited for this game… but like… why the HELL even add multiplayer.

There are more games that I can count that have a tacked on half baked MP component that don’t need it at all/ are hardly a selling point.

Because it was garbage in Uncharted 2 and 3. And this whole "lets make every game have multiplayer so people don't trade the game in sooner and we can sell an online pass and make lots of microtranscation dlc" is a plague on the industry

Another game where people will leave the MP as soon as "the next big multiplayer game" releases.. just what we needed lol

(Only interested in the single player, like Uncharted. I wont even play it unless it has a horde-like mode)

Hmm hopefully the multiplayer is some sort of co-op side story story like Restiance 2 had or Halo 4 spartan ops.

That or they find a way to make the multiplayer work similar to the combat in the single player.

Not new. Multiplayer was pretty much confirmed in an interview a while ago. Said something to the extent of they're working on something new and interesting, not typical multiplayer.

I said the same thing about UC3 and ended up loving the MP.(mainly co-op arena) and the SP was still good. Although instead of MP map packs for DLC I would have rather seen SP expansions so I still get what you mean.

Boxart looks a little cramped but otherwise great. The added multiplayer shouldn't be too surprising as we've already seen Naughty Dog test it out with the Uncharted series.

Beautiful cover. So glad there will be multiplayer, I've poured a ridiculous amount of time into U2's MP and after three years I'm only now starting to look to another game for my online fix, hopefully Last of Us can fill the void. I don't get why it would bother people, just ignore it and stick to the single player. Simple.

I'm not so quick to write off the mp yet and I'm the kind of player that won't touch mp.

I'm betting it's not going to be the typical run and gun mp. It'll probably be similar to the single player. And they can easily solve camping problems with the infected spawning near by and forcing them to move lol.

Boxart is glorious. The soundtrack will be something I definitely want.

I think if they get it right the MP should be rather good. Something like co-op survival and horde-mode would be awesome. Limited supply, ammo-sharing, shit like that. Could be good.

UC3 had a well rounded MP and they supported it extremely well

I don't think it was garbage. I loved the multiplayer in U2/U3. You know that you won't like everything about every game out there. You have the option to not use it.
