Neither one of the movies were good, in my opinion.

I like individual games in the series but wouldn't call myself a fan of the name. I liked FFX, loved FFXII, really enjoyed IX, had a good time with XIII, vomited after two hours of VIII and had to check myself into a hospital, liked FFVII in the beginning then got bored of it, loved Tactics Advance, War of the Lions, Crisis Core, and think Disgaea is one of the best fighting games ever devised despite not knowing who half the characters are.

But I don't care about chocobos, the Final Fantasy orchestra concerts, or whether or not games 'deserve' to have the name. The series has given me plenty of fun hours, but if the name ever 'died' I wouldn't be saddened by it.

Well, Final Fantasy III, IV, VI, VII, IX, X and Tactics were all great games but if the story continues getting pushed aside for the sake of prettier visuals and the franchise ultimately dies, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

A lot of the more hardcore fans will say that the games have to play a certain way (turn-based or otherwise) so the franchise has already died for them but what's most important to me is the story. They've always tweaked the gameplay, which is understandable if they want to keep the series fresh.

Funny enough I happen to watch that movie(well after it first came out) honestly it's one of those movies if never called Final Fantasy probably wouldn't have been that bad received. Because even for me it was just loosely based on some FF elements, and that part was the failure.

Same. Could never get into turn-based RPGs.
