I haven't been paying much attention to this game just know that Naughty Dog is working on it. I read the wiki and i guess it's a post apocalyptic game? Where's all the excitement coming from, is it because of Naughty Dog's reputation? The game looks great and all but I'm not following why this so popular without even a demo being released

Aside from being of Naughty Dog pedigree, TLOU is getting people excited for the following reasons:
- The games narrative will be the driving force of the game, and Troy and Ashley (Joel & Ellie) work awesomely together.
- The game sports some of the best AI in any game so far. Enemies go looking for lost mates, and their tactics change depending on how many of their friends are still around, what weapon they have, what weapon you have etc.
- What we saw in the demos so far was gameplay. ND have created dozens upon dozens of animations and have a great contextual animation system set up.
- You can tackle the game however you want, kill all, kill some, kill none.
- Just watch the trailers again!

I kind of answered that in this thread already.
But yeah, both the gameplay and visuals seem to be top-notch.Steam & PlayStation Network: BlacksitePSU | 3DS Friend Code: 1349-4916-2054

Watch the gameplay pieces. There's two extended videos which tackle the same place from a different angle. If those don't get you excited, you're hopeless lol.

Also the replay value is way up there too. When they had a demo at E3(for other developers to try) everyone said that they experienced different scenarios and were blown away and really just look at the details, the small things you notice will have you double taking

Everybody is writing how good the game is which gives an impression that they have already played it.

Again cant comment on how it is but judging by ND previous and the setting and stuff i have seen so far i can safely say its one of my most hyped titles at the mo.
Cant think what to put in the box

Because it looks great and looks like it will play great. Also, some people HAVE played it behind closed doors. Are you suggesting that no judgement can be made on any game before you actually play and complete it? God knows how many rubbish movies and games I would buy if that were true.
