About 2 months ago I reported that a dog wasn't getting looked after properly, it was being left alone for days with no food or water. I reported it, and the guy I was speaking to said he would look into it, so I decided to leave it at that. A few days ago I found out the dog died of starvation, apparently you could see the dogs ribs because it was so skinny. I feel so angry that this happened to the poor dog and the person who did this is getting away scot free. This is annoying me so much that I cant sleep at night. What can I do to get this person prosecuted? The dogs body will be long gone now, so what proof can I have? I feel fucking sick that nothing is going to happen to the person responsible.

Go to the supervisors at the police (not sure what it's called where you are). Report it again, and let them know that you reported it. Also, ask for a copy of the report you made before and be ready to take it to the press.

Thats exactly what you should do. If the department will be able to find the old report, the supervisor of the dog can get some "nominations"

Wonder why the person would just let the dog starve, why not just set it free and leave it to it's own devices to look for food. Gotta be sick to get enjoyment out of watching a dog starve to death.

I'm the other way around, I feel worse for neglected animals then I do for children. Most children, depending on age and other things, can speak up.. animals dont have that luxury
