Never noticed this thread before lol. Used to be mad about shoes in my late teens early 20s but it's kinda died down a little.

My dailys are standard grey blazers

I usually just wear those or these maharishi chukka boots from 2008 . Theyre in pristine condition tho

And sometimes I just wear unbranded casual plimsoll shoes. Cheap and trendy

$260 for a pair of shoes? You are crazy, they aren't even pick-up-chicks style either.

$30 Dunlop KT26 non leather black. These are the upper class to the $25 pairs.

Not got any new kicks yet as Nike will not give me my money back even though they have their shoes back and have since 5th April.

Nike claim they have sent the money to me on the 8th April yet I have seen nothing enter my bank (after waiting 7 days) they also claim my bank does have the money because everything is correct on their (Nike's) end and no failed transfer have been detected.
they wanted me to wait another extra day because their info says they invoiced me on the 9th but my invoice says 8th (changing the goal posts) So I told them a big NO!
so now they are investigating it internally to find out where the money is and I asked how long that will take and the woman didn't know so then I asked do these investigations happen often? she said yes and then I asked how long have they taken int he past, She wouldn't answer me.

I then contacted my bank who were more than helpful and will launch a dispute for me if I give the order so to speak, I said I would give Nike 24hrs for this "investigtion" and if no money is in my account then will tell them to proceed with the dispute.

So Nike has their shoes and my money and will not surrender my money to me.
Big man $#@!ting on the little man.

I got my money back. Eventually. It turned out they were hanging on to it at the last minute then their system actually disperses the money to the bank for real instead of their system saying tis already been done.

I guess its so they gain an extra few pennies interest.

Still not bought any new shoes yet though.

I'm still a sucker for the more classic designs myself. Just picked up 2 of each of these.

I'm sorry but can you explain to me why? Are people impressed with your shoes? Do you ever get complimented on them?

Explain why what? I buy 2 pair? I buy 2 pair because I like having another pair for when those get worn out and need replacing. I also buy a cheap $1 toothbrush with every pair of sneakers I buy to keep them clean.

Is it wrong to want to look nice o_O?

Also yes. Men and more so women comment on my shoes/cloths or general attire quite often actually. Has no one ever complimented you on your cloths before?

Like once, that wasn't family. If someone complimented my shoes here in Oz I'd have to do a double take to see what the joke is.
We even rip the stickers off our hats here.

Must be a cultural thing, over here certain brands reign supreme like they do in the US but they don't put you on a pedestal, alot of people are very casually dressed.

It may quite possibly be a cultural thing. I'm not too hung up on branding tho personally. So long as it looks nice and is comfortable. Stickers stay on the hats tho... Don't exactly know why..... o_O? lmao

The brand that I do find myself gravitating to the most however is the old NY clothing company, Karl Kani. I surprisingly get crazy compliments for that gear. Thats old school right there, but I've always liked the styling and the Logo itself being as K is my nickname. They no longer make their clothing in the US unfortunately so I'll occasionally order from overseas.

I love Nike Cortez. I had the classics before they stopped being manufactured. Never had so many compliments from girls on my shoes to this day. Those are a cool design. The Cortez shoes are friggin' comfy.

"The biggest adversary in our life is ourselves. We are what we are, in a sense, because of the dominating thoughts we allow to gather in our head. All concepts of self-improvement, all actions and paths we take, relate solely to our abstract image of ourselves. Life is limited only by how we really see ourselves and feel about our being. A great deal of pure self-knowledge and inner understanding allows us to lay an all-important foundation for the structure of our life from which we can perceive and take the right avenues.”
