*sigh*
i've got this virus. i know i can google how to get rid of it, but i also know that many 'fixes' are in themselves not wholely legitimate or safe. can anyone point me in the direction of a good way to remove this virus? i have work to do on my laptop!!

just got into safe mode. am considering running malwarebytes, but have heard that most trojan removers don't work on this.

Malware bytes might not work but tis worth the try.
I am not sure how trust worthy it is, I just downlaoded the file and scanned it with Kaspersky it says no virus and their file advisor the file only showed up yesterday.

seems a bit odd, might try virus total and look at the results too

its besides the point right now anyway, it seems to be preventing me from getting into safe mode

Try this the Kaspersky rescue disc is legit and free. TIs basically its own operaing system so is unafected by windows viruses and runs off the disc or USB drive.
