That percentage of marketshare is scary from Nintendo. Crazy stuff!
Vita sales hardly picking up even though it's a holiday month, that is equally as scary lol
MH4 got pushed back to summer for wiiu/3ds so at least that's good news for soul sacrifice (vita) which was coming out around a very similar date if I remember correctly.

Can't believe Sony has not done anything other than bundles to help get the vita out there! Smh!

Bundles can help only so much they need a price drop and just get the hardware out there once its out focus on content to make up the losses. It just pisses me off that they are letting this portable console die and they seem to be ok with it like they don't care...smh

There will probably an official price drop in japan next year around the time of Soul Sacrifice releasing - March I think it is. The demo was released this week on JP psn and the game is being received very well so word of mouth + price drop + no MH4 releasing at the same time = some form of hope
Edit: On second thought: It could go the above way, or they could just continue with how things are now and bundle the fuck out of it and hope things change for the better; which they won't. Subsequently, Soul Sacrifice will not sell as many copies as the quality of the game deserve and it'll be a Sony classic

We shall see!Last edited by Nitey; 12-20-2012 at 18:57.

If they priced it at what the 3ds xl goes for they would steal some of nintendo's thunder.

More games for the Vita would help. It's not just about a price drop.

At this point a price drop would benefit more than content. Even with great content when compared to the more established PSP and 3ds being cheaper with better libraries I don't think it'll help as much now if great content and a price drop happen at the same time like it did with 3ds then that would be the best chance to turn it around like nintendo did with the 3ds

If I was sony this would be my train of thought.
Focus on the entry price level at this point we are screwed by taking a loss per unit so we need to focus on how we can get the hardware in more peoples hands. The bigger the user base the more potential to move software and profit on software and accessories.
I would find a way to bundle accessories with a screen cleaner or skin kit.
