THQ Files for Bankruptcy

Supposedly, the official bankrupt filing listed some unannounced games:

Evolve (Turtle Rock Studios)
1666 (THQ Montreal)
Crawler (Vigil Games)
Atlas (Relic Entertainment)

Not counting Saints Row 4 and WWE 2014 as they were expected.

I heard Recently that THQ still got a contract with WWE to make its Games but what gonna Happen now! if EA gets it it'll be totally ruined it will be an awful mans new robot!!

For some reason I can see MS buying them.

Or for a real MEGATON, Apple buying THQ studios to announce the iConsole/iBox/iHome/iPlay/iPlayStation (Sony will sue, but Apple will somehow still win) -

Believe me E.A will not buy the WWE contract what so ever.

The WWE contract will be up for sell for at least two years and will be bought by someone new

They filed Chapter 11. THQ isn't gone for good.

THQ today has filed up for a bankruptcy and its really sad

. Why not Sony try to buy THQ and expand its gaming studios and gain THQ under Sonys wings? Even when Midway filed up for a bankruptcy and at the end was bought by Warner Brus. I was thinking I don't no I might be mistaken nor I have an experience in this bussiness. Why Sony doesnt try this? And even with some other companies that went out of business and its really sad. Sony I know it has lots of money no metter what the articles says about the company. But I see Sony is very cool towards this and its a good opportunity. What do you guys think

No way! The conditions that caused the crash of the 1983 don't exist. The crash of 83 was sudden what were experiencing is a slow decline and possible phasing out of home consoles but gaming will not be on life support like it was back in 83 thanks to atari reckless way of doing business and copy cat hardware and soft well hell back then the intellivision had an add on that would play 2600 games. Imagine if that happened now a days.

As long as I get South Park. That's all I care about...I guess it wouldn't have hurt to have a Red Faction game that went back to FPS like the first two, and those games were AMAZING!! Darksiders is awesome too, but I hate Saints Row because it's a poor man's GTA.

The only game i was looking forward from THQ, is Company of Heroes 2 and nothing else.

They haven't released a good game for a long time now!

Because if they did, they'd likely have to file for CH11 shortly after themselves.

Not that it wouldn't be valuable owning their IPs. Just not feasible in Sony's current financial state.

Very sad day for gaming. Thq has released some great games over the years. Things have looked very good from a quality games perspective in the past few years. I'm sure they will get picked up though. Too much on their agenda to get left behind.

GTA is a boring man's Saints Row!

SR is so wacky and takes itself even less seriously.

I won't miss THQ.
