EarthBound (Mother) project teased by series creator

Coming from Shigesato Itoi...

Since it’s now okay to blurt this out, here goes: the “MOTHER republication” thing I mentioned briefly before is making progress. It’s not “(MOTHER) 4″, though! This has to do with making “MOTHER” playable. I can’t give out any details just yet, but I do at least need to say that it isn’t 4.

Well now...talk about an interesting turn of events! Something is up with the franchise, but what could it be?

Yeah, EarthBound is Mother 2, but also the series' name in the West. One of those games I never played but always heard good things about.

Same for me. I was on ebay looking at them and there expensive (for a game) so i never bought it. Nevertheless, i'm pumped for this now.

A re-release of the trilogy or remake makes sense if he's looking to see how many people are interested in another sequel.

Played Earthbound love that game to death in fact got lucky to even pick it up as I got from a Pawn Shop here in town, but that was ages ago and I can't find it either which also sucks.

I am guilty to admit I only played the 2nd and 3rd one via emulator. If they re-release all three Mothers on the 3DS, I would buy it day one!

I also forgot to mention that missed out on Earthbound 2 what would really be called Mother 3 I knew it starred Lucas, and it never got localized, but I do remember there were some forums or people that tried to get it into English.

Hopefully it comes to 3ds they did bring a new Kid Incarus IP which I haven't played yet but I will be soon when I'm done with the current games I have.
