Handing over the Community Reviews section

Hey guys. The CR section seems to be a success. In under a month we have over 20 reviews!

Several things were really important for me during the creative process, namely the section having its own area, having a really nice looking, closed index page that would act as a clean and attractive "face" for the project, a funny rank system, a single place for conversation and some kind of formula/consistency. All those things are in place and running smoothly.

With DUST 514 going into open beta soon, I would like to put all my focus into front page coverage, guides and developing the corporation. For this reason, I want to pass on the "administration" role for the section. All it requires is to update the reviewers name in the rank area and link their article into the index and make sure that there is a level of consistency and standards are kept (aka no 200 word reviews etc lol). The person who takes over should be involved in and enthusiastic about the section as they will be in charge and have the final say on the section and future tweaks/adjustments/changes.

This request goes out to members of the PSU staff and content team.

This is super important guys. Ghost has done a great job getting this not only up and running but making a success of it. It would be great if someone could keep an eye on this and make sure it doesn't fall by the wayside.

I'm interested. I've done a few reviews and plan on continuing to participate but my time next year is going to be stretched thin. How would one do this? (bolded part)

Just keep the index updated pretty much. Whoever takes over the admin role doesn't have to do much more than that. Additionally, just making sure the content quality stays to a standard (people not just spamming short reviews etc). The section belongs to the community but there has to be someone who has the final say, so when ideas are put forth and discussed, it will be the admin's role to make final call. I'm pretty much giving free reign over the project, so long as it moves in a positive direction (and retains the current key elements).

I'd say lethal or DV since they are mods and have access to help keep this place clean i can do my part as well Have a head guy and 2 other SMC or mods to keep it clean it should be fine while your working on other things bro

Shame to see you stepping down Ghost, even if just for this part of the forum. I'll continue making reviews. For my 2 cents I think either DarkVincent, Lethal or Devious should take control. They've all demonstrated they like making reviews. If DarkVincent wants it, I'd totally support that. I think he would be a good fit.

I think a small team would be the best option with Lethal or DV in charge kind like how the mod staff is

I'll give Lethal some time to see if he states an interest, then I'll choose and appoint someone as admin. They can then choose how to move forward but I think the admin + small team sounds good.

Well, whoever gets the 'sheriff's badge' can appoint anyone he wants to help. The upkeep of the section doesn't have to be a solo endeavor, but I do want just one authority, a go-to person etc. I won't completely abandon the place! There are still a few loose ends to take care of, the sigs etc and usergroups. I'll still be a part of this place, but it needs a new boss!

Most likely me I don't mind. It doesn't require much time at all to maintain so yeah, all good.

Its some downtime atm over the holiday season but I as well as many other members I'm sure will be reviewing their xmas games sometime after the holidays

I would gladly take over the Review section, but the problem with me is that it would be changed to fit how I would run it. Like everything I do, it would get the "Lethal" overhaul. I would be changing the layout, the tier names, fonts, colors, etc. I would keep the images that are used though.

I would be doing this with ZERO disrespect in mind. It would be because it would be something I need to do to make me motivated to keep up with it. It would literally have to become MY project.

If you are cool with that, then I would love to take over. I also completely understand if you would rather not see drastic changes.
