But isn't that the thing Sony takes risks but loses loses money PR can't afford to nurture the risks.
Microsoft from a retail standpoint plays it safe but puts out a lot of content on XBLA that doesn't need as much marketing or needs to sell as much.
Look at Starhawk which is a good game but bombed hard on the retail circuit. Unlike Fprza Horizon or Fable the Journey which both failed expectations but can still do well in bundles Starhawk probably won't get that chance.
However of Starhawk had been scaled back about and sold on PSN only for $15 similar too Section 8: Prejudice or War hawk the game might have done better.

I agree. Starhawk even looked and felt more like a PSN game. Sony should have just distributed it that way. As it turned out it flopped at retail.

I think there is more diversity on the PS3 than there is on the Xbox 360.

Thats true. I dont see a 360 answer to games like Uncharted, Infamous or Motorstorm for example. Yes, there are lots of shooters on PS3 (and I like that) but theres plenty of other stuff on it too. Next year starts of with 3 different genres - TLOU, Beyond and GoW Ascension.

Infamous, open world city game where a super powered humans runs around?? Really? Cant think of anything similar on the 360?
MS nearest thing to Uncharted would be something like Gears I guess, but then Sony doesn't have anything like Halo of Gears, so as I say...meh.
I like my car racing games, so I very happy with MS's support in that area.

Oh yeah, Crackdown. Thats really more of a free roaming TPS than anything else actually. I was thinking Prototype (multiplat).

The PS3 exclusives are more exclusive since they rarely if ever end up on PC.

There really is none as both line ups are pretty similar to each other. I think mivrospfr does a better job at making lots motion stuff fun to play presentation wise.
Also I like XBLA has more game game exclusives compared to the PSN art house stuff that seems to be most of what sony publishes.
