Perfect time to get a Vita?

All those who own one right now. What is the library like? Any price drops since launch?

    Worth it now?

Played with one recently and thought it wasnt bad, quite decent i must say. If you really like it you might consider buying it as the price is currently pretty good. However not many great games are out yet.

I think right now is the best time since it's release. Playstation Plus is a MUST too. You get Gravity Rush, WipEout, and Uncharted for free. Plus some other PSN games. The library is constantly improving with great games like Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, Sonic & All-Stars Racing, AC3 Liberation, and more.

The Vita has made me fall in love with Zen Pinball 2 all over again.

Yeah Plus is good, I'm a subscriber so that would be my main way of getting games on Vita at first.

Any games you deem as must buys?

For me, the must buys are as follows. (Not including the awesome free games you get with PS+)

    Little Big Planet Vita
    Zen Pinball 2
    Rayman Origins
    Need For Speed: Most Wanted
    Sound Shapes

Excellent. That seems like enough to last until more games come around. Might be time to spend some of that Christmas money on a Vita.

What would be the best Vita to get? Isn't there like a couple of different variants?

Just a 3G/WiFi and WiFi model. I would get the 3G model if I were you. It is the best model seeing how it has a GPS chip built in.

I had a look around and it seems as though if I want a bundle I'd have to go for a Wifi only model which kind of sucks. Where I have looked so far the 3G model only comes standalone and is quite the bit more expensive too.

I might just get the Wifi model though. At the end of the day I can't see me using the 3G benefits much.

Everyone uses theirs differently but ive never said "i wish I had gotten the 3g version."

I mainly use mine at work, I have hours of free time, or at home in bed at night.

I have both the 3G and WiFi model. I can honestly say that I will never buy the WiFi only model again. "Near" takes much longer to search for gifts and such. There are certainly benefits to having the 3G model. There is no contract for the 3G service, and you can simply pay for a single month if you are going on a road trip or something.

    $239.99 for the 3G/WiFi model
    http://shop.lockerz.com/electronics/...system-3g.html

This is legit as I have purchased 2 of these from the site.

Dude, this is the time, along with PS Plus. Depending on what country, you get Uncharted and Gravity Rush. The latter is a must have for any VITA owner, oh and get a 32gb memory card, you need to invest in that.

Its always a good time to get a Vita. Library is getting stronger and stronger and there is plenty of great games out for the system.

I started LBP over xmas and its just awesome. Really charming, more so than LBP2 I feel. The touch controls work GREAT and some minigames you even tilt the system on the side and play vertically

If you are mostly a shooter and an action/adventure guy, then no. Not even close to being the perfect time.

Mine is still collecting dust. COD was a massive failure, didn't even bother getting the game, and KZ isn't looking all that hot either.

I miss Jeanne D'Arc. It was such a beautiful game on the PSP, never saw the light of day again.

We've only seen about 20 seconds of gameplay for Killzone, it might be a bit too early to write it off. Time will tell, it could be another dud but if GG are doing it, I have faith.
