Aliens: Colonial Marines - Story trailer

This trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines shows a certain Captain Cruise ordering his crew to investigate a 17-week-old distress signal on the U.S.S. Sulaco. As indicated by the trailer's dramatic music and the word "aliens" in the game's title, the "liquid situation" has players leading the highly-skilled group of marines into battle against hostile alien beings (surprise!).

The Gearbox-developed game uses environments drawn specifically from the movie series of the same name, such as LV-426 and Hadley's Hope. Aliens: Colonial Marines is coming to Xbox 360, PC, Wii U and PS3 on February 12, 2013.

I read it was initially going to have squad-based gameplay, letting you issue orders to your fellow marines. That would have been interesting to see.

I am a huge alien and predator fan!!! when aliens vs predator came out i got the hunter edition with the steelcase and that was back in 2010 but i still to this day get on to play online, i love it! the only thing that kinda blows is that i had a ps3 before i recently got a slim and i was ranked up to like 38 or 29.. anyways long story short i dropped the old ps3 by accident and eneded up selling which obvoisly meant gettin another system and trying to rank up back to where it was. the great thing about is im at rank 13 and i whoop on people who are like rank 40, hahaha good time. hope i didnt bore u with my sttory, COLONIAL MARINES come out already!!!!!!!

Been watching this bitch, balls deep in drool since announcement! HUGE Aliens fan, I can't wait for this. When I look at the epicness of Borderlands 2, and what they have revealed so far, I have full faith in Gearbox in their dream of doing total justice to this "sequel in game form".

Looks ok..much prefer the predator tp be honest. I find the aliens utterly boring. I have geiger`s illustrated super expensive book about the design etc...and thats what i love about aliens...other than that..gimme a proper predator game any day of the week.

Did you play Predator: Concrete Jungle on PS2? That was the PERFECT predator game. That game delivered the predator experience like Arkham City delivered an authentic Batman experience. A sandbox predator game with all the tools and everything. It was perfect. If they remade that game, or along itslines, it would be fucking AMAZING.

Doesnt look really interesting to those who arent Aliens fans, I suppose cause I havent really seen anything interesting nor impressive in the video. Those typical current console gen graphics and bad dialogs put me off.

i've never 'gotten into' an Aliens game.

if there was an aliens game that played similar to Amnesia, id be all over that. the aliens from the movies were few in number and did major damage whenever they appeared. the aliens in games are very many in number and go down like mosquito's in bug spay.

i want to approach a corner and legitimately ponder whether the benefits of a detour (for stuff) outweigh the risk of near insta-death. crawling through dark corridors with my hearing heightened listening for the ever so famous ping from your suits motion sensors.
making quick on the fly decisions that mean the difference between life and death.
to feel hunted by a species referred to as the "PERFECT HUNTER"

sadly, every game thus far tries to stick close to that doom-like original
