I gotta take advantage of this 4gb is no good. Damn that 32 sold out. They should seriously do a permanent price reduction though.

off the site, if this was a month and a half ago I'd be a proud owner of a Vita right now lol. Those prices should be the normal.Baylor Peak I just went to my local Best Buy and bought two 32g for 120$ plus tax becausetheyprice matched with Sony's offer. They will price match anything as longas they can verify it

Good news, but I'd be gutted if I'd just bought a vita for Xmas with a fully priced card. They should have done this a month ago.

I wanted to buy one here in Canada. But I don't see the deal is up here. I will not buy a PS VITA unless the 32GB is around 50 or 60 dollars as I know my self for sure, Iam a collecter and I will download lots of games. Sony Sony, Sony, Sony! Bring the price down as soon as possible. ^___^

CPU: I7 3820, GPU: Asus Gtx 670 2GB, Motherboard: BioStar TpowerX79, HDD: Seagate 2TB, CPU COOLING: Corsair Hydro H80, Case: CoolerMaster RC932 Haf, RAM: 16GB 1333 DDR3 Corsair, Sony Dvd X18 Player, Windows 7 64Bit, Monitor: HP Led 2311X, TV: Samsung LED TV 120HZ Un40d6000, PS3 Phat 1TB HDD, PS3 Slim 750GB, PS VITA 32GB.

No, the prices are still shockingly high. They're 'good' (used very loosely) in comparison to their current 'full' price, but still terrible when compared to similar forms of media.
As a comparison, the 32Gb Sony card would cost me around £49 (whilst on sale, more at full retail). A 32Gb micro SD would cost only £14. It's unjustifiable.

Bring on another price cut and a 64GB stick and I'll start to think about buying a VITA.
Trophy-licious!

I haven't bought an extra SD card at all for my Vita and I only begun with a 4GB stick. I agree they're still too pricey. In the meantime, I have to put up with the inconvenience of storing games on my PC and then transferring them across when I want to play on them. Silly.

Sony REALLY dropped the ball with the memory card prices from the beginning, even now its about decently priced.

How else do you expect Sony to make money on the Vita?
Maybe someone can correct me, but wasn't the Vita an expensive kit to manufacture, so the price point was set in a way that was giving Sony a slim profit-margin on the device? What would've happened to the console if they worked it the other way around with a more expensive Vita and cheaper memory cards?

I don't expect Sony not to profit from the product(s) they're selling but costs have to be reasonable. Like I say, comparable memory is buttons to purchase.
It's a short sighted decision to cut the console cost up-front and try to re-coup by charging exorbitant fees on a product the console pretty much requires. As a consumer, I don't feel like the memory cards are a value proposition.
It's not doing them any favours when it comes to moving units, either.
