What's Next Activision?

Activision's Call of Duty franchise may seem to be one of the most profitable gaming franchises in history, but now that they are at nine games and counting, what else can they do? They've delved into the two World Wars, fictionalized World War III, along with a futuristic, Sci-Fi driven World War IV...

The franchise, in my opinion, has been seemingly dry after MW2... But what DRIVES people to buy this game? The highly addictive multiplayer modes that have been tweaked bit by bit through the years? Or is it the blockbuster, action-packed campaign? Or maybe its the thrilling zombie and other survival modes? Either way, one way or another, the game over sells its competition, monopolizing over other game publishers in the shooter genre... When does the hype end? Sales wise, the franchise has no equal, but there are PLENTY of game titles that have better graphics and performance levels out there in the market. I've played all the Call of Duty titles, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare did set the new standard for First Person Shooters at that time, but how far can they take it now? The formula has been slightly tweaked to appease its consumers over the years, but what will happen when Activision loses its seat in the throne? How will they adapt? Will they create another huge success, or will they cross the Rubicon and take the irreversible step?

If Activision decides to make a tenth installment in the Call of Duty series and not let the series die with dignity, their choices are pretty slim. Matter of fact, Black Ops 2 was already a farfetched concept, but it still pulled through and beat its past sales records. They can make:

Black Ops 3
Modern Warfare 4
Futuristic-er Warfare? (Like Ghost Recon: Future Soldier/ Halo Clone)
OR SOMETHING COMPLETELY OUT OF THE BLUE (ie American Revolution, American Civil War, etc.)

Can you imagine playing Call of Duty: American Revolution? Your killstreaks are cavalry, support cannons, and it takes three minutes to reload your musket. How fun would that be eh? Or what if they went the extremely futuristic approach, where it meets Mass Effect, Halo, and Killzone? What is your take in this? What will they do next? It could be a parody or a serious matter to you, but as an avid gamer, even I am left clueless with what they'll do next. I hope to see some funny responses

Its been a long time since COD has been considered a PC game primarily. Its definitely a console franchise now. I remember when the original COD came out on PC, it was the best looking game of the time..can't really say that now.

I just found out whats the next COD, its Call Of Duty Black Ops 2.5
It has some improvements and minor fixes. You have to pay the full price for the game though.

They should do my idea for their next game. It should be called Futuristic Warfare, and it takes places in space, on a space station that's hijacked by the Russians (because Russians seem to be relevant in every single war game for some stupid reason, and creativity doesn't exist with Activision). The Russians kidnap the astronauts and unleash wild monkeys on them if they don't get their ransom money which is gold credits, because the IMF is in debt at this point, so we're back to gold credits and coins.

And as the player goes halfway through the game, we introduce an M. Night Shamalyan twist, like all the other COD's. We find out that the Russians are androids being controlled by the monkeys, and the monkeys are being mind-controlled by Aliens from Uranus. The Aliens from Uranus threaten to anal probe the entire planet of Earth (go figure) if their demands are not met. And their demands are:

1. Pluto has to be a planet again
2. More pancakes on Uranus
3. A lifetime supply of ass pictures from every human on earth.

If these demands are not met in the game, the aliens ram a phallic-shaped doomsday ship into the Earth. They have to penetrate it in and out, but not before covering the Earth in clear liquid gel called KY.


I think if this game gets made, it will win all the GOTY awards, and every other supporting award with it. It will certainly win all the awards at Spike's Videogame Awards, because we all know the VGA's are not rigged, remember?!

And get this, for the DLC, we have all the employees of Activision, and another DLC level is where you play as Bobby Kotick, shooting up the Activision offices as a metaphor to firing everyone.

And it's not over yet! You know how there's that useless thing that COD ELITE? Well now it's COD MEGA SUPER DUPER L337. It's a monthly subscription of $50 gold credits. But you do get every single DLC for free and ahead of time, and there is only 4 DLC packs for the entire game plan while it's out.


As a special bonus, the game will have a special edition, because why not keep to tradition, right? We've had an RC car so far, night vision goggles and a care package. So for this one, we include a mind controlled monkey with it in the box. We are aware of the laws for this, but our lawyers found loopholes. Anyway, these monkeys are mind controlled by Bobby Kotick 9000 from the future, but they are mind controlled to serve each player, their new master. These monkeys can be their pets, or do there dishes or even please the players sexually while they play COD online. Actually, it's recommended that they please the players sexually because it enhances killstreaks and UAV drops more often, and the playing experience of course.

And that's how I would make a game from Activision.


Activsion, please make this game.

What's next? Another COD game. They honestly just need to get of their asses and make a new engine. At least look like you are trying. But they have the shooter market by the balls right now so until that ever changes expect them to keep shelling not the same old.
