So I unlocked this gun and started to use it. I am in love with it. I am doing very good with it(knock on wood) and seen people comparing it to FAl but I have no problems with it and notice like no one uses this gun lol. Am I missing something?

Personally I've mainly used semiautomatic riffles on every COD I've played. I started using the FAl but fell in love with the power of the SMR, its deadlier. I've recently added the 'select fire' attachment and discovered that it boosts the fire rate when set on auto while firing it as if it were a semi. You just have to be quick with your trigger finger.

The fire rate on this is shit. Prob why no one uses it much. I personally prefer the Fal.

People generally consider the SMR as one of the "shit guns"
Mate if you like it and are doing well with it, then 3arc obviously found others such as yourself who do well with it and added it to the game, what matters is you enjoy it.

Never tried it tbh.
There was an amazing single fire gun in MW3 that I uesd aaaallll the time. MK14 or something I think? So I might try this out as I wasn't really feeling the FAL when I tried it
