Ps3 Slim Clicking Sounds?

ive had the ps3 slim 320gb for nearly 2 years now, and for some time its been making this loud clicking sound, like a ker-chunk when playing a game. i have no idea what this is, im just concerned, is this sound normal? thanks alot guys, much apprechiated

I dont think that the sound is normal as my slim never does it. I dont know what could be the issue though...

Are there any technical issues or drop in performance? Or its only the sound that bothers you?

just the sound, nothing else, im sure its not overheating as i play 1 hour a day.

Maybe you should reposition your console. Check if there is something underneath the playstation. Otherwise i cant really help you. Cleaning it from dust may help as well.

Try removing the cooling stand and see if the issue persists.

I have a 160gb slim and I only hear it when I turn it off after using the console for so long.

I have the same problem my first ps3 slim 120 gig making clicking noise everytime I play my games. Answer to my ps3 slim first 1 broke so I think I was the reason.

Yes it's normal. Because of the quality of the plastic the PS3 is made of, it will make a high "click" noise when it's dilating or contracting due to thermal expansion.

My PS3 slim makes those clicks since day one of purchase.
