The highest end model right now is a quad core 3.2Ghz CPU with 8GB DDR3 RAM capable of driving 4k displays and running modern games at 720p console settings. If you take size into account and how it can run entire OS like win 8 and not just linux like the rasberry Pi it is extreme awesome.
It can be attached BEHIND the moniter so you won't even see it.

The lower spec model is $499 the higher one is probably $999 so the $1099 x51 model is still better spec wise (duh! cuz its huge comparatively)

I'm rather amazed at this little piece of kit already and I can see why Valve are using the hardware for the Steam Box from it, it's small, sleek, surprisingly inexpensive, and the cheaper model will still flatten any console on the market. I'm just crossing my fingers for Valve to bring more of their games out for Linux (plus more devs) so that this can really catch on.
Also I own a Raspberry Pi Model B and absolutely love it
. I do need to add a few heatsinks so I can overclock it a bit though as some videos it struggles with in XBMC.
