I doubt it, most understand that with Japan sewn up, the PS3 pulling ahead is inevitable.
The only thing would put a spanner in the PS3 would be something like the Wii U suddenly becoming popular in Japan and cannibalizing Sony sales. Cant see that happening.

ps3 did bad compared to last year. 600+k-ish. Sony needs to learn to make a proper bundle.

You didn't read it at all lmao. They aren't guesses.

The only guess is about the ps3 being 600+k(and that's only because of ms throwing that jab out there in their statement). Others are from MS and Nin themselves.

And if it doesnt happen then you can be sure a few other members will do the same thing. Personally I think its inevitable. Sony made some mistakes this gen but I like how they create new ips and exclusives all the way through the end of this gen and have kept their online service free. For that alone I think Sony deserves to pass the 360 in WW sales. And I'm saying that as somebody who prefers the 360.

Revenue and profit wasn't even close this generation. MS made billions in profits, Sony lost billions, Nintendo started out making large profits but has been taking losses on the Wii for more than a year now.

So the PS3 sold less than 700k in the US in all of December. So I am interested to see where the 7 million unit increase came from. The PS3 also did about 700k in all of November as well. Japan, the PS3 in the first half of December was 78,000. I found one week of sales for November and it was 18,000. So lets double the December numbers to 150k, and lets quadruple the November numbers to 72,000.

So that is 1.6 million units shipped between November to December. We know that IDC claims a 7 million unit improvement by the end of December, and Sony released 70 million shipped as of November 4. So that means Europe and PAL territories shipped about 5.4 million units in those two months.

Keep in mind that just 3 weeks ago Sony stated that they sold 30 million in Europe and all other PAL territories combined since the console has been released.

Should be interesting to see how IDC spins this...as well as spins the 6 million console improvement from the 360, which didn't happen either, lol.

MS is one of the most profitable companies in the world. They have 68 billion cash on hand. Sony is headed for bankruptcy if they don't change their corporate culture. IMO they need to abandon the PS3 and PSV so they can refocus on the PS4. They can't afford to release a year after MS again.

As for your games comment, I dont buy just exclusives. But when there weren't many game in the first three years of the birth of these system. Only one company made sure we had awesome games to play.
PS It wasn't Sony. i hope this changes

If Sony doesn't put out the PS4 this year when MS releases its new 16 core (with 2 threads per core) console then they didn't learn the lesson from the PS3. Had they released the PS3 in 2005 they wouldn't FINALLY be passing the 360's sales at a time when new games will start winding down. They should abandon. The Vita.
