The high-definition PlayStation 3 and Vita port has been given very little new information since it was first announced at the Tokyo Game Show in 2011.

However, Square Enix Europe recently responded to a fan's question about the game on Twitter, saying, "The world will get answers soon, we promise."
Last year, Square Enix clarified that Final Fantasy X HD will be a remaster of the classic role-playing game rather than a full-blown remake.
The 2002 PlayStation 2 original tells the story of Blitzball star Tidus, who joins a pilgrimage to defeat a whale-like creature from destroying the planet.
Square Enix's next major release in the series will be Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, starring Final Fantasy XIII heroine Lightning as the sole playable character in a story that will take place across the last 13 days before the end of the world.
Promise huh?

They should promise to stop announcing their games so early. According to them, we should also expect to hear more news on Final Fantasy Versus XIII, since they didn't have anything to show for it at TGS.

I was interested in this like a year ago. FFS! It's an HD port, not an entire remake! It shouldn't really take this long, and who knows how much longer it will be...

Yeah man I'm right there with you. Although I'm sure making an HD port is not as easy as HD engage but SE has dropped the ball to many times this gen.

I was expecting info on this soon. Remember they announced this before Kingdom Hearts HD but started it after it, and Kingdom Hearts is being released soon.
If that remake is anythng to go by I know what is taking so long. For Kingdom Hearts that have made some overhauls to the system and updated character models to newer ones...whereas because there is only Final Fantasy X/X-2..they will probably be updating stuff from scratch.Trophy-licious!

Kingdom Hearts 2.5 will probably end up Birth By Sleep and scenes from another Kingdom Hearts title. Hence, a new secret ending to Kingdom Hearts 3.
