Jesus Christ! Okay, so for whatever reason the computer I'm on won't allow me to type jack shit into the space beginning a thread. Anyway: All of DmC, served hot, start to finish. Thankfully, I'm not buying that garbage. The gameplay looks the same as DMC3&4 but really disgusts me is dialogue and story. Devil May Cry 2 is better than this unfortunately. I watched most of the videos...nothing unexpecting.

I'm indifferent either way. I like the environments, and I'm impressed with what they achieved using Unreal, as I was with their work in Enslaved. I didn't watch enough of the gameplay to comment on that.

But in other news: DarkVincent, we both know that should be Chespin.

Internet Explorer. I had that problem until I just yesterday switched to Firefox, and many of the problems I was having like that disappeared. This page needs a "IE-incompatible" banner.

Ah. That's probably it. I was using the computers where I work, and they all run IE. Thanks for that. I'll be more aware of it in the future.

Glad I'm not the only one. Still using IE since its what I'm acustom using. Been having that problem since the summer.

I actually enjoyed watching the game play and personally liked the music used. However, this would be a used game for me, because I cannot afford to buy it brand new.

People still hating on this game for cosmetic purposes? Listen if it plays like the demo and has a story and writing on par with Enslaved and Heavenly Sword....then it has potential to be the best DMC

The writing's not on par with either of those games. I won't spoil who what when where or why, but in the opening video, this line comes out of a character's mouth:

"The world is finally your bitch... as am I."

And it just gets sillier from there. But the game looks fun, so I'll probably rent this.

Because Devil May Cry has always been so full of excellent dialogue and heartstopping one-liners, since the beginning...

"Devils never cry! *tearwipe*"

The new Devil May Cry is hated less for its cosmetic changes and more for its complete neutering of the great battle system. I actually like the new look of Dante, and NT did good to keep his flamboyant badass persona alive and well in their vision for him. But the gameplay is sub par as were their other games. And this game is 30fps. You have gameplay design limitations when working with 30fps.

Right? It's always funny when someone bitches about the writing and the dialogue. That shit has never been good. I play DMC games for the gameplay. I don't give a fuck about the story.

Untill theres dlc, or a new game to bring back the original Dante, i am not touching this title.

I've read some of your posts in other threads and understand that you consider yourself intelligent and clever, a true wit, even--but look beyond your stupidity to read what I wrote, and the manner in which I wrote it.

Did I compare it to previous games? No. In fact, stumble through past threads regarding this title, and you'll see I mentioned my curiosity stemming only from NT's involvement, due to my enjoying their past games. Then you must understand that I was comparing the writing to Enslaved and Heavenly Sword, not DMC games of past. THEN sift through everything I've written in this thread thus far, and find me a word other than "silly" that shows my bemoaning this game juxtaposed with games past. I believe you will find that you can't.
