PlayStation Store App Patched And Updated To 1.02, Now Much Snappier

The ‘new’ PlayStation Store application on your PlayStation 3 is now snappier. That’s the adjective everyone seems to be using on the internet this afternoon, and after a quick patch (taking it to version 1.02) we’d probably agree.
Loading times are somewhat quicker, it appears to be a tad smoother to navigate and it’s generally just a big nicer to use. Snappier. Yes. We approve.
The new PlayStation Store was announced last October to much excitement, and is a considerably richer environment than the old Store. It’s an application though, one that requires a further load, but with this latest patch that doesn’t seem to be such a chore.
Sony have promised to keep working on it, too, with things like a searchable download list due at some point this generation. Which will be really handy for Plus.
The patch is 26MB.

Anyone notice the PS Store update today?

Just a small 26MB download. Apparently it improves reliability and speed. Seemed to be working for me anyway so can't really see the improvement in speed.

Anyone see anything else different?

Just updated and nothing seems to be different to me but if it adds stability then that's a plus in my book.

Just updated and browsing the store seems a little faster and smoother but thats about it. I'm glad Sony improved the stability and browsing on the store.

Ill check it out later tonight. I hate browsing thru the store. The Eshop is better in terms of browsing for me

Devious I've been using the eshop to all my purchases/PS+ grabs too cos the store is pretty crap

Would be great if its speed up a bit and i would like some remote play too ill test later.

Now we just need a better download list, the old way to browse games and DLC (By Letter not given all the games in a list and a few filters), and the old search keyboard.

Let's update and revamp the store just in time for the PS3 to be replaced by the PS4 which will probably have a whole new store interface that won't be upgraded for another 5 years. Way to be on top of things Sony. *facepalm*

The PS Store isnt just on the PS3, you know. Its on the vita, and soon it will be in your web browser. I'm pretty sure the PS store we have now, although updated, will be on the PS4.
