    7-minute MGR: Revengeance trailer, demo release date

    A demo for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be available to download on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network beginning January 22, Konami announced today.

    The free demo will take place during the first chapter of Revengeance and will introduce players to the game's main character, Raiden.

    In development at Kojima Productions and Platinum Games, Revengeance is due out February 19 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but not the Wii U.

    My god, that was some horrible voice acting.

    I'm still interested though, platinum know how to make action games. I just hope it wasn't rushed.

    Combat looks amazing as expected, since it's Platinum at work here.

    I agree though, the voice acting was cringe-worthy lol

    I like how cars are driving past him in the driving scene. Who woulda known Raiden is a slow granny driver, lol.

    just saw this on GT This one trailer has just spoiled the potential that I saw in it from past trailers.

    The voice acting is bad, the cut scenes are bad, not a fan of the ripper personality to be honest. The trailers showcasing normal raiden was better, this just ruined any anticipation I had

    Not sure why they bothered with a split personality thing. I was liking the footage up until now.

    Quite annoying, but no big deal in the larger scheme of things. I'm still interested.

    Looks kind of flat, graphically.

    Also, can't quite get my head around sword doesn't cut through things until a certain mode is activated. Then, it cuts through everything. I get it's a game mechanic, just kinda silly.

    Still, at the right price; I'll probably take the plunge (sub £15) further down the road.

    I feel the same. In MGS4 his blade kills all, in Rising he can cut something a dozen times and it doesn't die...till he activates a mode...

    Agreed. He could just cut the planet in half, or into tiny pieces, including his sheath. Where does end? Pets heads falling off?

    I'm trying so hard to take this game seriously. Feels to me like a Capcom style "fresh up" with DMC. And Kojima makes me feel the same way since he isn't putting his full backing behind the game. I'd wind up grabbing, though, because it has MGS on the label. I support Kojima's work directly and in this case indirectly. I'll probably wait till its bargain bin price though.

    Because fuck logic! Anyways, I really hate how silly and absurd the game has quickly become when the original videos of it made it seem much more mature and serious. Plus the fact that you can't just willy-nilly cut things like it originally seemed like it. The whole thing looks like a joke now, and I spit on it.

    So, I tried the demo out on Normal difficulty. It looks great and the framerate is pretty smooth but I'm just not feeling the combat. They make the parrying look easy but half the time I had trouble getting it to work. I couldn't make it past Bladewolf (LQ-84i). I'm sure you guys did better. =/

    You're suppose to block his attacks and you can run around to avoid him. I'm currently having a hard time...can't find the block button.
