What kind of childhood games did you guys play growing up? I can't wait to hear the European members' answers!
One game we used to play all the time on the playground was "Red Rover" or whatever it was. We all get into two lines facing each other and send people over. "Red Rover, red rover, send Cindy right over."
Card games we used to play was mainly "Spades".

Based on previous post from the uk guys I think they just get wasted and slap each other on their asses but that wouldn't be a childrens game.
For me it would have to be playing stick ball in the streets. That's how us minorities get down in the ghetto when we are kids also opening up fire pumps and throwing water at passing cars lmao

I used to play bulldog a lot around my mates but most of the time we'd pretend to be either power rangers or people from mortal kombat and play fight all the time. Sometimes used to get a little carried away..

Bull dogs! Essentially you'd have a few people with the task of running from one side of the designated area to the other. The catch is that you also had a few (usually less) people that had to prevent them from doing this and would often tackle you whilst running. If you were caught you would then be on the team tasked with taking down the other team. The winner was who ever was last standing.
Releaser was another. It was kind of like Hide-and-Seek but there would release point that you would need to get back to so you often had to run away and hide for a few minutes whilst they come to find you and then you had to make it back to the release point without being touched.
Oh childhood...I Like Games.

Four square, handball, among other things and a paper game which I forget the name but a pic of it is below...
"When I was 12, I milked my eel into a pot of turtle stew. I flogged the one-eyed snake, I skinned my sausage. I made the bald man cry into the turtle stew, which I believe my sister ate. At least I hope she did."

Hop scotch, Hide and seek, wall ball, and a few made up games. Like grabbing dirt balls and hitting each other with them.

Brick Wars.
We used to use the local school as our 'warzone', 3 levels high including a very steep pitched roof. 3 teams of 3 teens loaded up with stones trying to 'brick' eachother.
It was like the Normandy beach scene in Saving Private Ryan
Got a nice little scar on my eye socket/cheekbone joint.
COD had nothing on that game!

There were lots of things we used to play. Some that I recall were:
American Gladiators - We'd recreate that one event where they would have to go different barriers with different weapons trying to hit the target, while the gladiator had to hit the contestant. We used a garage-turned to a room and would assemble various desks/ furniture/etc. as the barriers. We would roll up socks and use them as ammo to hit the contestant/target lol.
War - We'd use the little army men. We'd sit across each other on the floor and use shoes as obstacles that we can hide the army men behind. But they had to be visible to the other person. Then we'd use a rubber band to shoot them down.
Kick the can - It was a one versus everyone else kinda game. One person was "it" and they had to catch everyone else. Whoever was caught would be trapped and have to stay near a can on the ground. It would have to be up to another person not caught to try to sneak or out run the "it" person to kick the can to free up those caught. Game was over when everyone was caught or we just got tired lol
Thanks to THUGGEDOUT for the sig, The Black Wolf for the av.Life's too short to be sober! Drunk with power!
