I edited my post after you quoted me because I figured I'd mention my PSP Go's, more impressive. Don't have them any more though.
To answer your question:
Kmart reduces prices the third Sunday of each month.
Sears reduces prices the first Friday of a month that falls during the first week that is completely in that month (if that makes sense).
Typically both stores will reduce prices by about $5 a month. Sometimes you'll see a huge drop though. For instance, Singstar was $19.97 for months then one Friday Sears dropped it to 4.97 and I bought it. Same thing with DJ Hero (bundle).

Oh, one other thing, with Sears you can actually see inventory and pricing on google shopping. Go here:
shopping.google.com
It typically updates prices the day after the drops but you can see what they've got. What you'll want to do is search for "PS3 games", use your zip code, check the box for "Sears" (if you don't see it, click see more or some such thing) then click "in stock locally".

Sears is mostly trying to get rid of games. If you have one near you, check google shopping tonight, look for games on various platforms and see if they have any. It would be a good idea to go to the store soon if they have stuff in stock. Especially check for Skyward Sword. My copy had the soundtrack with it!

Bah, you guys have all the luck. My local, Sears and K-Mart keep the usual retail prices. Then again I haven't been to either for a while, maybe I'll take another look around to see if I have any luck finding good deals.

My local Kmart never does that. I would go to kmart right now, I need a new controller badly.
