Any of you guys got any good recommendation on spaghetti sauce? Here's the story, I've been using one that's been sold at my local groccery store and unfortunately they don't carry it anymore. After many months of doing grocceries at Walmart, my mom keeps on buying these Emeril's Marinara sauce which is utterly disgusting. Don't like any sauces with tomato pieces or onions in them. It just kills off the sweet taste out of them. I went yesterday and I found this new Prego's Sausage sauce...(lol). Thinking of it giving it a try.

Nothing like making your own. chop up some onions, mushrooms and peppers, add your minced beef, a can of chopped tomatoes and mix in some Italians herbs with a bit of salt and pepper and you're good to go. Simple and delicious bolognese.
If you prefer a bit of sweetness, I've been known to add a little bit of sugar to my sauce at times. I personally prefer the fresh approach though. I rarely buy my sauces in a can.
You could also try a Carbonara sauce, which is a nice white sauce with bacon pieces in it.Trophy-licious!

A bit of sugar and vinegar to taste. Alternatively a spoon or two of ketchup. Either works wonders.
I agree with Dave. Make your own sauces. They are fairly easy to master. I probably have a couple of single and double portions of sausage pasta sauce in the freezer from the last time I cooked. For the busy days I want something quick.
Having said that, I ate my fair bit of jar sauces when I was a student.
So yeah, sauces in a jar are ok if you are a student or don't like cooking. Now that I think of it, everything is ok when you are a student. lol

The chef in the house doesn't make sauces, she wouldn't mind but she know whats works. Any brand types?
@Ryan: I haven't seen a Bertoli Italian Sausage at the market although the regular sauce has too much chunks inside.

I used to buy Dolmio. Mostly because every single off-licence sold it.
Word of advice though. My taste buds weren't at their best when I was a student. lol
I'm sure you could find reviews of ready-made pasta sauces on the web.

I'm pretty sure Grossman sauces are UK only.
