Holy Smokes! I was expecting Microsoft to 'Bring the Wood' but didn't expect the WHOLE Damn Forest. Those four Move Engines, Wow! I don't want to confuse people with a lot of Technical Talk, so in layman's terms, that basically means they are Quadra Pumping the Flop Capacitor out the Ying-Yang.

Report from vg247 that Kaz Hirai will delay the launch of the ps4 for reasons unknown. It could be the final SDK is not on par with MS final SDUk.

From what confirmed devs are saying, this chart is legitimate. High level and glosses over important details, but legit. Which I find a tiny bit hard to believe and terribly disappointing.
There's something special about the "Data Move Engines" that contribute grossly to the 720's performance.. Apparently it's cool stuff.
Even if that is true, though, there's no escaping the low bandwidth, the paltry 32MB of ESRAM.. I mean they're literally using 8GB of DDR3 for a dedicated gaming machine!
WTF people.

The days of consoles being just dedicated gaming machines are over whether it be MS or Sony.

They're used for load balancing. To keep the system at higher levels of efficiency and utilization.

So according to someone in the know, that diagram is lacking, or completely neglecting an entire block.

I dunno the way some of the insider guys on GAF and just Microsoft's attitude in general that seems quite the opposite.

Thought that's okay with me because its what I want.
I was glad to here that on the gaming side Microsoft is going to go hard like they did Pre Kinect.

I wonder how many of these OS features will be locked away behind gold accounts?

From Gaf:
A person in the know I spoke with said the diagram is missing a cross-buffer between the North Bridge, Data Move Engine, and DDR3. This cross-buffer adds an extra vertex layer to the GPU, essentially doubling the throughput of the ESRAM. This innovative feature is a virtualization, so to speak, of trans-core communication.Last edited by X2; 01-22-2013 at 03:27.

Is that diagram accurate? It has a northbridge? No memory controller in the CPU?
