Yeah I don't see how that is a valid argument as well. Exclusives are the cornerstones that consoles found themselves on. They apparently matter enough for console companies to back certain titles. I.E.-Mario and Zelda with Nintendo, Halo and Gears with MS, and GOW and Uncharted for Sony.

Interesting. I'll be the unreasonable one and go with this; They must have the power and resources to scrap everything / swap out a few key parts in a 1 to 3 month window. In all honest though I don't see why not. If this is so ....

Well, think of it this way. We're all waiting to know what the CPU, GPU and RAM will look like, right? Those aren't Sony designed parts. We know the BluRay is making a comeback because it is in the latest wave of devkits. We know it will have internet, because, duh. Sony will need to design and manufacture a PCB/board as well as cooling, but that can exist on paper.
As long as Sony cemented that the PS4 would have some kind of base-line specification and architecture to the developers, they can begin their work on first generation software titles. Doing things like adding RAM, clocking parts faster or using later generation parts won't affect anything except make the games run at a higher framerate. So, does Sony have some wiggle room as long as they keep their mouth shut and don't commit to a launch window? The answer is absolutely yes. They do.Thoroughly enjoying my PS+ membership.

Oh my how the tables have turned.
No thank you. I'll be gaming on a stronger console for $100 cheaper instead
Sony trolled MS. PS4 fans didn't do it. We just laughed at MS and anyone getting mad. $399 FTW!

So would this be considered a catfish moment for Microsoft?

As much as I love games, I could never spend the same amount of time in a place where I hate/look down on, and continue to post and participate.
