Just got to Hammelin, wow this city is incredible! I am so glad no media for this game was released past the first 10 hours, that's the way it should be! Now I don't have a clue what to expect next.
Also, a tip for people. There is a small island north of Ding Dong Dell, on it there is a small monster that spawns along with all the starting familiars (Miteys, Drongos..etc) it will run away so you will have to try for a back attack and once the battle starts you will have to take it down immediately before it can run away. If you kill it you will get about 2500XP, I think later in the game you can find its evolved forms for even more XP.![]()

The game will do a better job at explaining how it works unlike the demo that just throws you into the battlefield. Make sure that you listen to what Drippy has to say.
I'm currently playing it in, Normal mode just to enjoy the game and I admit that it can be quite a challenge sometimes unless you grind. Try it in easy to enjoy the story.

The guide def helps, and yes Drippy helps you a ton. Grinding is one thing you will def have to do. My grind strat is always kill two-three mobs close to rest stone, rest and save repeat. No worries about dying then. I always do every single bounty hunt and errand min it pops ups so long as I can(some erans you have to wait till later for reasons). I am 25 hours in(school and want to get to a stopping point in Dragons Dogma) and so far bosses have been challenging but beatable.

Yep, I go back after every event. Just got something for completely the fairy portion before heading to Hammelin. Also the Autumnia continent is quite depressing looking. I miss the sunshine already.

I know I am overdeveloped at this part of the game because all the enemies in Autumnia world map are already running away from me. As are the majority of sea enemies.Trophy-licious!

Oliver for me just reached level 30 and quite a few of my Famliars are low level because I just did the final evolutions for a few of them. I now have Griffridgerator and Midnight Flutterby.

Once you complete the trials you can trade your tickets. You should be alright for the trials, me and Chille both grinded like hell. A good way to judge if you are the right level is when new people join your party. I think Esther who joins your party just before you do the trials in lvl 10, so that should be the MINIMUM you should be.
