I don't get people's boners for co-ops, I hate playing games with others. Games for me are for getting away from the outside world and losing myself in the story and gameplay for a couple of hours.
Trophy-licious!

Good point, yes, I do like to do that as well but a game such as this would benefit a lot from co-op, as it’s strategic. It would be cool to see all characters (non-enemies) having their own turns while you’re just taking turns for your own character.
I would love to see co-op (4 player or something or even more if possible) in games like FF tactics or that other one I forgot…it had like 999 levels…anyway, I don’t think co-op would deter a game such as this if done correctly. They would of course have to limit the amount of triggered events as that would cause issues with everyone running around. Also speaking with characters in towns would have to be done right as you could trigger events or accept quests but that has been done in games like Borderlands 2.
It depends on the game honestly. I know I’d rather play some games by myself but sometimes it’s just more fun to play it with others.
i.e. I really wanted to try out White Knight Chronicles but just didn’t get it due to bad reviews. I wouldn’t care so much about that either but I read that the gameplay itself wasn’t fun and got tedious.
So a game such as this Ni no Kuni…I would play it by myself but also would love the option of 4+ players online…not sure how they’d pull it off and like I said earlier, it would limit the game a bit but at the same time, it would make it far more fun…think Monster Hunter Unite…that’s the future imo or at least a big chunk of it.Praise the lord for Ni No Kuni!

22 hours in and I just got the chance to travel the sea!(So far I've finished every available quest and hunt). I went to do some exploring but was quickly destroyed by the high level monsters. So much for being over level 20. I must also warn you that enemies you encounter in the sea are mix and match, you'll fight strong opponents with weaker ones.

And you guys doubted me when I first heard about the game and started foaming at the mouth. I think I was the only one cheering about it...I mean, the combination of developers/story-writers/composers is just the best Japan has to offer. Not sure if Level 5 is Japanese but they probably are.

I've always believed that this game was going to be good but I have to admit that it's a lot better then I first thought. Shame that I can't play games non stop like the old days or I would have finished it by now.
@itachi73378, don't forget Tales of Studios. They're still pumping quality JRPG's!.

The animations are the best I've ever seen. It can only take a perfectionist Japanese studio to do something like it.

I sincerely wish this game sells well (seems like it did) so that the message goes through that there is still a market for well made jrpgs

It's #1 in RPGs on Amazon but sadly I don't think it will sell as much as DQVIII and any crap that SE puts their logo on.
But it will likely sell enough that they won't have to stop.Praise the lord for Ni No Kuni!

I'm not sure its sold a lot though, I just don't think they shipped as many copies as most games do.
I do hope it will boost the confidence of Japanese developers again so they stop trying to westernise their games.Trophy-licious!
