Grand Theft Auto: Vice City coming to PSN next week

Ever since the releases of San Andreas for PSN and Vice City for iOS and Android, we've received more than a few requests from the community wondering when they'd be able to touch down at Escobar International and return to the neon-lit streets and sun-splashed shores of Ocean Beach on their PS3s. Today, we can confirm that it won't be long now...

The original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will arrive for download on PlayStation Network next week as part of their PS2 Classics collection - on Tuesday, January 29th in North America and Wednesday January 30th in Europe, for $9.99 / €9.99 / £7.99.

Good that it'll be $10 and not $15, hopefully the black label version too but not much was cut in future VC releases so doesn't matter much.

It'll likely be the re-released version (back in December) where they removed 10 songs from the game's soundtrack.

Thought all that was sorted and the songs were staying in. I heard problems with The MJ songs and that was deemed sorted out

It was originally pulled due to MJ's "Wanna Be Starting Something" but they ended up removing nine other songs with it.

Well that sucks, so the full experience of driving around listening to tunes you love. Might actually be a bummer of an experience

I'm sort of pissed off at these releases. I would much rather have a HD collection of all 3. I already own the PS2 versions.

I doubt they've removed all those songs, it'd be much easier to just upload the original PS2 release. They worked it out with the song that held up GTA3 and that song never made it into any version but the original black label PS2 version, so if they managed that they should manage this.

Sony Music at least should just let it slide for the PSN release.

Does anyone know what this games going to be like in terms of graphics and gameplay? Will it be the PS2 version or the PSP one? i thought the PSP version with the black fella in was more in-depth when you were building your empire. I see there's no HD remake but surely they'll improve the graphics to GTA 4 standard or something because hardly anyone buys games with crap graphics now its an important element especially for us geeks.

I still doubt they will, that requires editing the game which voids it being a PS2 classic.

true, but it has been proven they actually have taken out 9 songs... Their still got enough songs to enjoy... But any songs left out, just makes it less entertaining to play
