Rad, this thread is about the 720 and my points are explaining the faults of the 360 and how ms should improve and not just concentrate on novelty.

I know what the thread is about. And all I did was discuss a certain point that you brought up not me so dont go acting like I'm derailing the thread. You brought that up and I gave my thoughts on it and thats all. I thought you and I were just having a simple discussion. Anyway I said what I had to say on it so I'm done too.

Yeah I'll know for sure when they show what they have. But I'm leaning very much towards PS4 right now but thats really based on rumors. That can always change though. We'll just have to see when both companies show their stuff.

So many people ditching the next Xbox for the PS4, and it's not even out yet. Personally I don't know. Can't take any rational decision without seeing the consoles, their prices and line ups.

Wouldn't be surprised if I ended up with both though.

there've been several assumptions though.

we know the 720s architecture is supposed to be more complex, and there were rumours of increased, or more emphasised, colaboration with MS/AMD.

then you have 680 GPUs @ 3.1Tflops often outperforming the 7970 with its 3.8Tflops.

now i know the architecture between two distinct companies is likely to be more radical, but surely that's not to say that AMD haven't come up with a different solution for producing the graphics of a higher TF solution more efficiently - and that this has been designed with one company, not two.

i don't think we can actually judge the HW until we see the games, hear informed dev opinions, or have the equivalent of benchmarks.

i think they will probably have refined versions of there Move/Kinect controllers and might add what i consider to be a gimmick like this projection thing.
one things for sure, if 720 is to use Kinect, projection and have BC. it is going to be one expensive console.

This feature can enhance the gaming experience. It's not revolutionary but definitely something nice. Don't really get the hate.

Because it will make everything more expensive. Meaning MS will cut somewhere if they want to bundle all this into one console. Which will result is Next box having lower spec. Lining up very well with current speculations.

Xbox is lining up to take on Wii than PS4 it seems like. Financially smart move. Bad news for non casual Xbox gamers.
