Should I be in a rush to join the Vita owners?

So if you guys slightly remember some of my last threads asking about the PS Vita, I was saving up for one. Well, the time is nearly here. However, here's the thing. I'm looking at the PS Vita games and stuff and I'm wondering are there ANY must plays on the PS Vita right now? In other words, do I even have a reason to get a Vita at this moment? I'm not saying I have zero reasons to get a Vita, what I'm saying is, I'd rather wait until there's at least one or two must plays before dishing out the cash.

Is Gravity Daze what you guys consider a must play?

Last but not least, you guys are a 100% if someone buys a 3G vita, they don't have to have the AT&T 3G package? I'm just wanting to make sure.

No, never rush into something you might regret later... Remember the vita well always be there and you do not have to jump of the cliff like everyone else

Sony has basically sent Vita out to die imo. It had some good launch titles but hasnt had jack since then. As a result mine just sat around gathering dust so I finally just sold it and never looked back. And the memory sticks are way overpriced. So I would have to say no.

Uncharted, wipeout, and nfs are must plays. It depends on you teally. How much use would you get out of it. I have a job that allows me to play a lot.

There are some really good ones on the horizon too.

I have the wifi version and no 3g package at all.

With ps+ its a must buy imo.

I had a vita for 6 months and played mortal kombat and uncharted, both games were sweet but there wasnt enough to keep me interested as so i sold it, ill probably but it again when the price is right because its an amazing piece of technology.

Agreed. Very amazing tech but like you said it didnt provide enough good games after launch to keep me interested. Maybe a couple of years from now when its cheaper, memory prices get reasonable and theres alot more good software for it I'll pick one up again too.

The PS VITA is an amazing system and it will give and deliver a different experience. If you have the money and wants to buy it, than go ahead as I did. But if you don't much money and could wait. Than do that as the poster above said. The VITA will be always around to buy.

IMO, save your money. Theres not enough really good games out to justify buying one

Though im saying this as a non-vita owner, but I bought a PSP as soon as I could (around the time the PSP Slim silver was introduced) and I've kind of regretted it ever since. There hasnt been many games on that platform, and most of the good ones I found a pain in the ass to play. Hopefully the rumours about Monster Hunter 4 on vita is true, cause that would make me go a long way to consider buying one.

I've had mine since it came out and I agree it is an amazing handheld but there are only a small selection of games worth getting imo such as;

Super Stardust Delta
Lumines Electronic Symphony
Wipeout 2048
Gravity Rush
Uncharted Golden Abyss

Although saying that there are a few games I have not tried on the Vita such as Little Big Planet, Assassins Creed Liberation and Little Deviants.
I've only recently started playing on the Vita again because I went back to my 360, I had previously thought about selling my Vita but I'm quite glad I didn't to be honest, would of regretted it.

The PS Vita is turning 1yrs old in the states so I hardly think this is "rushing" in to anything. I think right now is a fine time to buy the Vita. I will drop you a list of my favorite Vita games which should be plenty reason to own one.

3. Little Big Planet Vita
4. Gravity Rush
5. Ragnarok Odyssey
6. Mortal Kombat
7. Sonic & All-Stars Racing
8. Rayman Origins
9. PS1 Classics (these look very nice on the OLED screen)
10. Need For Speed: Most Wanted

I travel a ton, and I actually do way more gaming on handhelds than my consoles. While I think the Vita is great, I still carry my PSP.. There's not a ton there right now, but I do think it's coming in the future. I don't regret buying it at all.

Don't buy one yet, give it at least a few months until the content ramps up. There's a few games coming that look decent. The current library isn't quite there yet, in my opinion.

Love how people can so readily cry out for a price cut when they've no financial stake at risk.
