I agree with Vulgotha regarding the FPS. I'm sure they'll have it fixed though since we're only in Jan (well, Feb) and it's out in September. Hyped!

It looks good, just nowhere near Killzone 3 good, as was originally reported. Same with the framerate - it's obvious that it wasn't always stable.

I really doubt it. Uncharted: Golden Abyss never looked as good as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. It was simply more colorful than the original. Killzone: Mercenary looks more like Killzone 2 than 3 which is to be expected, seeing as how Killzone 2 marked the series' current-gen debut.

The developers aren't to blame though. It's certain gaming journalists and insider sources that want to hype up the product and influence sales. Like the people that dubbed Killzone as a Halo-killer, which lead to the devs saying they didn't like the name and weren't competing with anyone.

I'm not saying it won't be great but I won't set my expectations too high. I'm fine with it looking as good as Killzone 2.

It's just some PR hype ting lol. From journalists and even developers. I remember the NFSMW devs saying it's the same game, but in the end it had cut traffic - it did look wonderful though

Engine 1:1 is impressive enough. Obviously there is going to be drawbacks considering the difference in hardware. However, I will say that it is a mightily impressive looking game given the Vita has been out for just 1 year (well, it'll be closer to 2 by the time it's out). It doesn't look that far off early PS360 games tbh. Nowhere near KZ3 but that's the best looking shooter on consoles

Yeah man. I wasn't impressed that it's only 8 players either. That would mean all the shooters on Vita would e 4v4 max :/. I wonder if it has anything to do with the Party app only supporting up to 8 people at a time? It shouldn't make a difference, but meh.

wait wtf... are they special units that do video out... is it possible with the current units we own (via fw update sometime in the future) i want video out (or some kind of remote play video out would be cool too)

Well there IS the unused port at the top next to where you put game cards.

Its a possibility I guess

Where did they specify the multiplayer player cap? And the offscreen footage on that interview up above didn't look anywhere near as jerky or weird as the trailer in the OP.. Could be because it was at a bit of a distance or something maybe, but it looked to have more post processing for aiming down sights (depth of field was evident) and other stuff.

Ok this looks a hell of a lot better than I thought at first. This looks really sick.

Still a few lower rez textures (like smoke) than I'd like and some weird physics glitches, but hopefully they'll have that all ironed out for release.

Yeah, I can't believe it looks this good and they still like 6 months before this thing comes out. I think it's definitely almost on with Killzone 2 and blows away Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

Wow that does look ace. Its actually made me dig out killzone 2 and im gonna go for a blast now. I never did get round to having a trophy clean up so will grab afew of them too.

Really liking the various options available, stealth, all guns blazing etc. Guess it all comes down to what load out you want to buy
