3ds owns Japan Wii U not looking good at the moment great to see PS3 selling steady its the best deal for gamers at the moment I firmly believe that especially with free PS+ for a year with that 299.99 bundle offered here in the states

The Japanese likes a lot those animated games and cartoony. So, no wonder why Nintendo is first.

Looks like WiiU is the Vita version of home consoles

It'll pick up though. Just needs them games and a price drop later this year will help - they recovered dramatically well from the poor 3DS launch so they'll fix WiiU too.

It is worrying though since the introduction of super slim the prices of the PS3 effectively went up (obviously a higher profit/per console for Sony though) yet the WiiU can't dent it's sales at all. I'm assuming PS4 will have the same problem

Another great week to cap off another dominate month for the PS3. Sony is doing work in their homeland.

611 for the 360? Down from last week's terrible number. Can you imagine walking into a Japanese shop and asking for a 360? You'd be the most unpopular person in the room.

Even at it's second week, DmC still hasn't beaten the first week sales of DMC4. Overall, the systems are selling like I thought they would. Also, Monster Monpiece has been a huge success for Compile Heart and Demon Gaze is also doing quite well.

I also think a lot of those sales are to western foreigners working in Japan. The only people I know who buys XBOX games in Korea are foreigners.
