Will this work? US PSN Account & Amazon

So I had the bright idea of purchasing PS3 games from the US PSN (as there are far more games on demand there) via purchasing US PSN codes from Amazon.

Has anyone actually (outside US - or for those in the states, tried this with a foreign PSN account) tried doing this?

    Cheers guys .

I personally, have bought lots of games from the PSN Japanese and played them on my US account and they worked fine. So, I don't no about you since you live in New Zealand you have to make sure about the resolution thing. Because I have downloaded the PS1 classic game called FEAR EFFECT from European PSN store and I thought its like the Japanese PSN and it didn't work. I have read that the European resolution is different than US.

Hmm, not sure about the resolution thing.

But really, as long as this way is feasible then I'll do it.

Yeah, because the european TVS resolution is 560 something I think. With the Japanese games that came out on the PSN store. They are region free and Japanese resolution and speed of the TVS are the same as us. Thats why we can play those PSN Japanese games and not European. So, you have to make sure about that my friend or otherwise you will lose your money. It happened to me, as I said. I have a PS3 European account and went crazy after FEAR EFFECT that was available there and bought the EU PSN cards for 30 dollars and it didn't work.
