My measurements on the wii =1,680cm^3 so if these measurements are true, its about twice as big as a Wii system.

These measurements seem to small to be real.

edit: Forgot to take into account the curved nature of the PS3. It's 7cm at its thickest part and then thins to each side. So its a little smaller than I said, but the point being, those measurements are a lot smaller than the PS3 slim.

Yeah, the height and width are believable, but that depth is just waaay too shallow...hell the PS3 Super Slim is 29cm tall x 6cm wide x 23cm deep, which with those dimensions has way more internal volume than these rumored dimensions...I will just have to call shenanigans until they officially announce it!

Just look at it compared to the PS3 Slim and PS3 Super Slim, there is no way it will be those dimensions...

Does anyone else get the feeling they pulled an early reveal because they know they can't control leaks? :P

I was thinking about it today, and this is how I would want the big events to break down:

Feb. 20th:
-Ps4 (official name) announced for "this fall"
-Reveal all developers and partners that have signed on so far
-show off some sweet tech demos (to please shareholders and press)
-announce several new must-have vita games (including monster hunter)
-reaffirm that ps3 will coexist with ps4 and target a different market (possibly announce new ps3 games and cross-platform compatability)
-end the show with a mind blowing teaser video montage of works in progress from 1st/3rd party studios

Basically announce it's existence but don't reveal everything ahead of competition while giving us enough to wait with our jaws open until e3.

E3:
-Show off Vita integration (including cross-controller and second screen functions) and Gaikai features (including complete back catalogue of ps3 titles-also playable on vita)
-Reveal new controller and 3D VR interface
-Discuss network plans (keep your existing PSN ID, free ps4 online play, new features for ps plus and home)
-live gameplay and gaikai demonstrations
-Reveal final specs and design
-End show with release date, price, and launch titles
-backroom demonstrations of post-launch titles

TGS:
-Playable on the show floor
-hands on demonstration of menu system
-announce ps3 price drop and a few more games for all three platforms

As a side note, they could put the hardware in an original 60gb ps3 case and i would be more than happy.

It doesn't look gimmicky like most designs that the internet brings. Would be crazy if this was a leak and it was just being discredited as a user rendering.
